Chesham cruised to another comfortable win over opponents from the South Midlands League.

On a hot and sticky afternoon Chesham took control of the game from the start.  Adam Parker headed over the bar from Danny Talbot's free kick then Josh Cooper crossed low into the area and Danny Burnell shot over with only the keeper to beat.  Burnell then ran through onto Talbot's through ball but the home keeper's clearance rebounded off Burnell and away for a goal kick.  Chesham broke through just after the half-hour mark when Andy Keepence's clearance was nodded on by Adam Parker and Burnell weaved his way into the area from the left flank before beating the keeper at his near post.

Keepence was injured in making the clearance and Brad Holt came on, and from his cross from the left Steve Obeng stole in at the far post to head the second just before half-time.  Chesham made five substitutions at the interval and Holmer Green enjoyed their best spell of the game, with a free kick just over and a curling shot that was well saved by Bobby Smith.  Dom Marsala then produced a fine solo run which ended with a shot blocked at the expense of a corner, and then won possession on the right and fired in a shot that the keeper turned away.  On the hour a loose ball in the Chesham box was seized on by a home forward who was wrestled to the ground by Max Howell, who would surely have been shown a red card in a competitive fixture.  The penalty was struck home to make it 2-1 and for a while Holmer Green threatened to equalise, but on 70 minutes Kevin Cotton broke forward from midfield and fed Leon Archer who slipped the ball past the advancing keeper.  Late in the game Ed Chemlal's through ball sent Sammy Winston clear, only for a desperate lunge to bring him down for an obvious penalty which Danny Burnell tucked away.
