This was Chesham's first meeting with a team from the same level, but it brought another comfortable win.

The opening stages were cagey with neither side really threatening in the opening half-hour.  Dave Fotheringham brought down a left-wing cross and fired over, and Danny Burnell controlled and tested the keeper with a shot on the turn, but that was it until Chesham broke through on 38 minutes.  Danny Burnell chested down Max Howell's forward ball and was comfortably onside when he ran onto Darrell Cox's return pass and slotted past the advancing keeper.

In the opening minute of the second half Dave Fotheringham side-footed narrowly over, then a break involving Talbot and Marsala ended with Steve Obeng running clear to lob the keeper but the ball just went past the far post.  Shortly before the hour mark Enfield had their first shot on goal when Rudi Hall fired wide.  Twenty minutes from time Burnell sent Sammy Winston clear only for a defender to haul him back on the edge of the box with a challenge that would have brought a red card in a competitive fixture.  Nevertheless Dom Marsala struck the free kick low into the corner of the net to make it 2-0.  Enfield came back into the game and Jeff Hammond picked up a loose ball in the area and chipped over Michael Underwood but across the face of the goal.  Late in the game Chesham made it three when Enfield's Sean Reece, who played for Chesham under Dennis Greene, lost possession and was dispossessed by Dom Marsala who set up Sammy Winston to beat the keeper at his near post.
