Last Saturday saw us record an excellent 3-0 win over Tiverton Town in the league and with no midweek game I am confident that the team is looking in good shape for our FA Trophy visit to Enfield Town tomorrow (Saturday). The players would really appreciate as much away support as possible for this tough match, our hosts are managed by a very familiar face to us, Andy Leese, who was of course in charge here at The Meadow for ten years. I am sure he would like to get a win over his former club…as much as we of course would like to get a win over him – a great battle in prospect.
A big thank you everyone who has supported our player injury and Rehabilitation Fund following the awful injury to Jake Peck. I am delighted to say that we have now raised nearly £3,000, including a wonderful £561 collected at our home game v Tiverton, thank you so much. You can still donate at our GoFundMe page here.
The fundraising continues, including a Golf Day at Chartridge Park Golf Club on Wednesday 2nd November – a big thank you to the golf club for their tremendous support and donating so much to the event. Entry for the Golf Day, which I know will be great fun, is £50 and includes a bacon roll, coffee, 18 holes and a 2-course meal. To book your place contact me at chairman@cheshamunited.co.uk.
