Last weekend saw us record another excellent league win, 2-0 at home to AFC Totton, in front of an excellent crowd of over 800. Another step towards our ultimate goal and I am just so impressed with the players and management have been dealing with the added pressure of being top of the league. Long may it continue.

Tomorrow we travel to Basingstoke Town, another in-form side. Thank you in advance to the many supporters that I know are planning to go to the game, your support is appreciated by all.

This week also brought more sad news as we learned of the passing of lifelong supporter and Life Vice President, Edward Bartlett. Ed was much loved and popular amongst the supporters, he will be missed by us all – our thoughts are with his family at this time and we look forward to sharing our memories and showing our respects at our next home game, against Hayes & Yeading on Good Friday.

For that game we will have our new tannoy system in place as installation of that takes place on Monday, starting at 8.00am – any volunteers who are available at that time and willing to help out will be most welcomed – many hands make light work as they say!

We have this week agreed a ground-sharing arrangement once again for Aylesbury United for the 2024/25 season on the assumption that they remain at step 4 in the pyramid. We of course would love to see The Ducks return to their home town and one day I do hope that they are able to do just that to make it much easier for their supporters, but on the meantime we are delighted to be able to off our facilities to our neighbours. I know a number of Chesham fans also enjoy popping down to games when we have away matches.

As we start to prepare replica shirts for next season, we are now offering a discounted £10 off all current stock of 2023/24 season shirts. Not every size is available. This is your last chance to order your shirt from what could be our most successful season since 1992/93…order yours online now or visit the shop in the clubhouse next Monday.

Remember also that tickets are on sale for the next Alex Horne Comedy Football Match on 11th May, where both sides will be wearing next season’s Chesham strip. Ticket details are available at cheshamunited.co.uk/tickets

We also have bingo returning to The Chess Suite every Wednesday, starting next week – Doors open 7.00pm, eyes down at 7.30pm.

I look forward to seeing many of you in Basingstoke tomorrow, keep up your fantastic support.
