First off you’ll have seen last week that the fixtures were released. Typically, shortly after we posted those fixtures our FAWNL Cup opponents were announced! So to confirm we’ll be facing Watford FC, QPR and Charlton Athletic Academy in a group of 4. QPR come to The Meadow on the evening of August 21st, we travel to Watford on September 7th and finally play Charlton Athletic Academy on Sunday 28th September. The winner and the 10 best runners up from across all the groups progress to the Cup stage.

We’ve also been busy announcing new player signings and those players that we’ve retained for 2025/26. Keep an eye on our social channels for more news as we release it, but so far we’ve welcomed Jenny Nagle, Zainab El-Mouden and Elsa Walker with more to come.

Jenny is returning to Chesham after spells with Chelsea, Fulham, AFC Wimbledon and latterly Denham and she brings loads of brilliant experience to our squad. Zainab has played for Leyton Orient, Charlton U21s, London Bees and London Seaward and so again brings lots of solid Tier 4 experience to our team. Finally we’re welcoming Elsa who has played Academy football with London Bees and Watford FC. Welcome to them all and we look forward to introducing you to more new signings this week.

We’ve also announced that Emma Bebbington, Niamh Euman and Lola Almendros will all be staying with the club for this season. Niamh and Emma were a key part of last season’s campaign with Lola stepping up from our U23 squad. We’ll post more news on Instagram, X and Facebook as we have it!

We were on the road on Sunday for a friendly at Newport Pagnell Town. We lost the tie 5-1 on the day but the opportunity for a relatively new squad to get 90 minutes together was invaluable! Next up we welcome St Albans City FC Women to Chiltern Hills Academy with an 11:30 kick-off (the challenges of local facilities means we couldn’t get the slot we wanted!). We then host London Seaward at The Meadow next Sunday.

We’re continuing to keep our eyes and ears open for opportunities to bring new sponsors into the club so please do let me know if that could be you! For example we have the front of shirt for our Development team available plus 3 of our age group teams looking for a partner. In the meantime thank you to everyone that has committed so far. I’ll provide a little run down of who they all are before the season starts!

Look forward to seeing you over the coming weeks as we get closer to the FAWNL

big kick-off!
