It is with regret that the club can confirm that midfielder Dave Pearce has decided to leave the club in search of more first team football after 8 seasons at the Meadow.

Pearcey made his debut for the club in August 2014, going on to make 268 appearances for the club and scoring 80 goals. Dave was involved in some of the greatest game in the clubs recent history including all 3 FA Cup 1st/2nd Proper fixtures in the 15/16 and 16/17 seasons.

We understand Dave is in the process of signing for a local club at Step 4 and at Chesham we have done everything we can to make this a smooth transfer for him.
We’d like to thank Dave for his service and wish him all the best for the future.

Dave had the following message for supporters as he departs the club:

I’m saddened to announce that my time at Chesham United has come to an end. It’s been an absolute pleasure and a privilege to play for Chesham since my debut in 2014. I’m taking with me some amazing memories, especially the incredible FA Cup runs, which I will never forget.

Unfortunately, this season hasn’t worked out how I’d hoped abut I’d like to thank all the supporters over the years who have been great with me! Chesham is a great club with lots of amazing people running it behind the scenes and I wish them all the very best for the future. A special thank you to my sponsor at the club George Adams who has sponsored me since I signed – big thanks George for all your support of me
