The Chess Suite

In the Chess Suite, we have capacity of up to 200 people for standing events and up to 130 for seated events. It is a flexible space used for a wide range of functions – live music, discos, private parties, wedding receptions, comedy nights, banqueting, race nights, sportsman’s dinners, casino nights, quiz nights, beer festivals, indoor markets and business meetings. And, of course, it is the main club bar on match days at Chesham United hosting around 90 games each season for our Chesham United men’s and ladies’ team as well as hosting Aylesbury United first team games and various charity games and youth tournaments.

Filming & Television Base Camps

Our site at the Meadow has been featured in the TV series Endeavour, as well as works by the students at the National Television School. And of course has featured many time in Little Alex Horne’s series Taskmaster. The car park & grounds have also been used as a basecamp for film & television companies filming elsewhere in the town.

Pitch Hire

The Meadow is also available for hire, dependent on schedule & weather – perfect for charity football matches, training sessions, and end of season corporate tournaments. The stadium seating as well as covered standing terraces also mean we have been able to accommodate large groups in the past for other sporting events, community gatherings, and special functions.
