The 33 year old striker joins the Generals following a two and a half season spell with Chippenham Town in the National South, where he was club-captain and contributed seven goals last season for the Wiltshire based side. Based locally, Matt has returned to play in Bucks for the first time since his early professional career at Wycombe and adds another striking option to our squad.

Matt brings a wealth of experience from higher levels of the game, he started his professional career at Wycombe Wanderers, making over 100 league appearances and netting 26 goals across League One and League Two. After leaving the Chairboys, he went to feature across the National League for Dagenham & Redbridge, Aldershot Town, Maidstone United, and more recently Gloucester City, where he scored an impressive 34 goals in 71 games in the National League North. Matt also appeared for Northern Ireland’s U19 and U21 teams making his debut for the latter as a substitute in a Euro U21s qualifier against Macedonia.
