After turning around a goal down Chesham took control of the game, totally dominated the second period and probably should have won by a bigger margin. There was only one change from the starting eleven from the defeat at Weston two weeks before, Josh Addae replacing the injured Matt Lench with Connor Roberts switching to the left and Alfie Williams pushed further forward.

There was a strong wind blowing and the visitors had it in their favour in the first half.  However Enfield’s goal in the twelfth minute was all along the ground, as Sam Youngs sent Billy Leonard away down the right and his low cross was turned in by Tommy Wood.  Chesham came back and following a free kick Callum Adebiyi had a shot blocked at the expense of a corner, then Mitchell Weiss won the ball on the left and shot from a narrow angle across the face of the goal.  In stoppage time Alfie Williams won a header and set up Nathan Minhas who fired wide with only the goalkeeper to beat.

Chesham came out strongly in the second half and in the opening minute Alfie Williams shot and keeper Rhys Forster turned the ball round the post.  Williams took the resulting corner which was headed back to him, and the resulting cross was headed into his own net by Tommy Wood although Williams was initially credited with the goal.  Two minutes later Wood broke down the left and shot but Ben Goode was able to save comfortably, but Chesham were now in control of the game. In the next minute Josh Addae broke down the right and set up Mitchell Weiss who shot over from just inside the area with the goal gaping.  Just after the hour mark Enfield’s Mickey Parcell was shown a straight red card for a two-footed tackle on Connor Roberts on the edge of the area, and Alex Babos shot through the defensive wall and into the net to give Chesham the lead.  Two minutes later Matt McClure’s shot beat Forster but floated just wide.  However Chesham moved two goals clear shortly afterwards, when Connor Stevens ran forward and exchanged passes with Nathan Minhas before setting up Matt McClure for a shot that beat Forster at his near post.  Still Chesham looked the more likely to score and Nathan Minhas produced a shot on the turn that force a good low save from Forster.  Alfie Williams took the resulting corner which came back off the bar and Minhas eventually got his goal, hooking the ball into the roof of the net from beyond the far post.  Shortly afterwards a Josh Addae long throw glanced off the head of Enfield’s Bayley Brown and Forster had to stretch to tip the ball over the bar.  Deep into stoppage time Connor Roberts ran forward and shot just wide of the near post.
