Biography

A composed presence in midfield, Lenchy rejoined the Generals last season. Matt’s first spell at the club was as a teenager in 2012/13 after coming through the Youth & Reserves setup and our partnership with Queens School, Watford. He spent four seasons with Hitchin Town, scoring 16 goals in his final season (2016/17) at Top Field – including the Canaries’ goal in the playoff final against Leamington.

Matt joined Slough in 2017, having 3 spells with the Berkshire club either side of two spells at Wealdstone in the National League. 2017/18 saw him score back to back hat-tricks against Kidlington in the FA Trophy and then Gainsborough Trinity in the FA Cup First Round, helping Slough to promotion into the National League South. Matt finished on 246 appearances for Slough before joining St Albans early last season and then making the move back to the Meadow.
